I have often been told that we, as a people, the American people, are hated around the world because of the actions of our leaders. In the past, I have thought “Well, the world is narrow minded if they think that I am to be held accountable for my President’s actions.” This President is very clear on his views, through his words and actions, and America has re-elected him, to my surprise.

The American people have spoken, and the American people are fucking stupid.

I have to agree that it is a narrow minded point of view to judge an entire country based soley on their leaders. Obvioudly, there are millions of people who didn’t vote for the current president, but if Democrats are ever going to regain power is it smart to call all those people “fucking stupid” How is that going to win people to the cause? How is that to make people listen and understand the message you have if you start to belittle them and call them vulger names. I think the statement “you catch more flies with honey than vinegar” applies here.

Oh, good person, how I do agree. After writing this and while on my way home I regretted typing the words I did, but my policy with this blog is to not change things once they’re written, as hindsight may be twenty twenty but it is surprisingly lacking in conviction.

I thought that perhaps “ignorant” would have been a better term than “stupid” and I still stand firm on the fact that we, not as democrats or republicans, they or we, but we as a whole country united chose to allow a man who either:

    A) Lied and then twisted his lie to suit the moment or
    B) Made a mistake and refuses to admit to that mistake

Either one of which is resulting in thousands of deaths and scores more maimings and father/motherless children, widows and widowers. But none of these things is on the plate, no one comes out says what they mean. Too few Americans are taking responsibility for what they do, and when the leader of our country, and practically the known universe, won’t fess up to his grave mistakes, well, then that is a sad state of affairs. This man should be the most responsible soul on the planet, but he is in fact a small minded, stubborn person not capable of stepping up to the plate and admitting that something needs to be done. Something other than “freedom” or “justice” or any other word that practically means nothing after being used so commonly.

Freedom is not imposed. Freedom is what we gave ourselves when we seperated from England. I’m done now….
