Bike PGH!I built this site for Bike Pittsburgh which just officially launched today.

There’s a blog, forums, and a picture of an old guy riding a bike, which is quite sweet. It was a full-on donation to a very worthwhile non-profit here in Pittsburgh. With the amount of injuries, and even deaths, that occur while biking in Pittsburgh, it’s great that there’s an organization devoted to making this a better, safer, and more enjoyable place to be on two wheels.

Safer on the roads is always a good thing. My ex boyfriend died last month after a motorbike accident, traffic is just way too dangerous everywhere. Safety awareness programs are highly valuable…

  • A woman was killed here recently as well. Bike lanes would do wonders, where right now multi-lane streets where the lanes are barely wide enough for cars to squeeze past eachother, and then the typical disregard bikers / cars have for eachother, it makes for a horrible combination.

  • This was also a good time with getting some forums going. I’m hoping to customize the XD Forums plugin so that it’s up to Web Standards and to keep the search functionality (both of which were done for this particular install.)

OK, fine, I’ll just comment again until your site accepts me for who I am. I may be the competition, but nevertheless, I am still an upstanding young citizen who deserves his chance to speak (type).

Now I feel like I’m repeating myself, and I hate that. So, let me just say that I, too, very much like this new work, and I look forward to your next. And let me add that my brother has crashed his bike more than twice riding the streets of Pittsburgh (with visits to the hospital) and could use a site like this. Although, his nickname growing up was “Crash”, so it’s possible that the street conditions weren’t the cause. But bike lanes might have helped.

    P.S. ClickNathan.com = bad web morals.

  • The badder the morals, the better the web…and other cool sayings that make no sense…

But yeah, maybe a guy named Crash should stay out of the bike lanes, if we ever get some…
