[...] Thanks for jogging my memory. I remember one of my favourite days of awkward youth, sitting on the sidelines watching the boys doing amazing skateboard tricks at the park and wishing I could just have one as a friend (I daren’t even imagine that he might some day even want to be my boyfriend). I liked to sit there and watch them on Saturdays hoping that one of the cute ones might notice me in the shadows and ask me to pull up my skateboard. As I sat there watching and having my day dreams they’d all eventually become my friends over the next few weeks and teach me their signature tricks until I would eventually excel over my teachers and became The Most Famous Skateboard Girl In The Entire World. I would fly my old krew out with me to all the most awesome competitions around the world and still have time to follow my other pursuits like winning drinking battles against large hairy bikers for money, and smoking without coughing. I look back on those days with such awe and admiration for what I achieved in such a short lifetime. [...]
