Google Homepage RSS Feeds “Open Up”

written 23 Jan 2007 in the earliest morning

Lifehacker + Google = All you need!Google has finally integrated the ability to preview content along with titles into the RSS features of its Personalized Homepage service. Rock, I say. It’s nice to be able to get a sneak peak of things to come, though I can’t understand for the life of me why Google’s graphic designers make the decisions they do. Those +/- buttons are so last Thursday.

Now if the Big G just allows you to ad images to their Spreadsheet service (and export without the grid lines, aaaargh!) I’ll officially sell my soul to them.

  • I’m really loving that new functionality too. I’m clicking on news links a lot more now because the sneak peeks hook me where previously I couldn’t quite convince myself to navigate away from the homepage… unless there was a new email or blog post. AND I just found the awesome Google Docs and Spreadsheets gadget!

  • Oh too cool. I can definitely dig that. The more that I use Docs & Spreadsheets the more I love it!

So convenient to just open a new tab instead of launching Word or Excel… but seriously the lack of graphics in Spreadsheets just bums me out….
