We Feel Fine

written 16 Apr 2007 in the earliest morning

I just get fed up sometimes because I do actually like talking to some people but I get the impression that they in no way feel the same towards me.

We Feel Fine dot orgWe Feel Fine is a website that gathers emotion from around the Internet. It works remarkably well. Basically, visit their site and click the Open We Feel Fine button, then choose one of the emotions floating around the Web (displayed as little colorful dots).

Reading people’s emotions, thoughts, interpretations of their feelings is incredibly interesting to me, particularly out of context like is being done here.

  • So many interesting feelings in there. I mean, normally they’d probably just be boring blog posts about whomever, but when you take them out of context and wonder what they could be about, they become fascinating.

    I didn’t bother to click through…

  • I love how you can view random thoughts from people in certain countries and regions too within date. For me it almost gave me a sense of the collective consciousness of my old hometown in the moment.

  • Wow…what a great idea!

And I love how it isn’t user-dependent, in that no one has to put there emotions on the site or submit to it, it just finds things.

so every little small town can be on there….

  • Yeah I was thinking that, too – it’s exceptionally interesting, feature-rich, and has a nice design.
