Olivia and I spent the afternoon exploring downtown and drinking beers near PGE Park, home of the Portland Beavers. Webster, four ways flashing in his black Jetta, arrived later after having been stuck in traffic for the past two hours on his way to have his climbing gear tested for the following days competition where he would, apparently, be face to face in contest with his fellow tree-climbers, scaling ropes, limbs and whatever other barky fixtures they could wrap their hands and feet around.
The pictures here show a slow progression of good times to wastedness, and by the end of the night, upon us rolling into our third or fourth bar, I was given one look at by the bartender and immediately shut down from drinking. Probably for the best.
