Hello Friday

A Shackleford’s & Maxwell’s Flowers van makes its way down the right hand side of to wherever it’s going as Autumn really makes an effort. “Everybody’s Favorite Ice Cream”, R-e-i-n-h-o-l-d-s pulls itself up in its own delivery truck, and who can argue with a slogan like that? A red van comes by claiming plumberly deeds and the 71C Downtown bus tries to squeeze between it all. Someone inside of the coffee shop behind me, while I was in line waiting for the Guatemalan, declared “It is a very good day” and quite frankly, I couldn’t agree more.

Hoodies and sunglasses make for the perfect weather. Hello Friday.

People are Talking, Talking 'bout People

  1. differently, this year, today, summer’s counterpunch to an increasingly forward moving autumn (an uppercut by the way, the sunbeam of all counterpunches) hit me square in the back of my black shirt. it’s the equivalent of my friday today, thursday, but even late in the workevening i was hating life with my head stuck deep in a sweltering Lincoln, sweat dripping into the box filled with so many papers but those i was looking for. i wanted to throw in the towel, or at least wipe my neck with one as i stared up at that sinking sun in anger that eventually mixed with amazement. i think today was record setting.

  2. Yeah, could’ve been… I was really enjoying today – Tristan missed the bus so I decided to take him to school myself, then spent a nice long walk around neighborhoods, early morning neighborhoods and green and leafy, just enjoying life.

That was a wonderfully written comment, by the way. Too bad you don’t have some type of blog where you could write on a regular basis.
