cybrarian \sye-BRAIR-ee-un\ noun
: a person whose job is to find, collect, and manage information that is available on the World Wide Web

Yet another examples of the fusty doldrum that is the presumptuous Merriam-Webster. Just who do these bastards think they are? I, for one, am thoroughly discouraged, weary and bored of their attempts to define our language. Language is art, ever-changing, ever-evolving, and not to be pinned down to a particular book, printed thousands of times over, rarely read, a waste of paper and good oxygen / energy.

And now this, cybrarian… First of all, who refers to the Internet as “cyber” anything anymore. Cybersex, cyberspace, information super cyberway…only a newb grandma who’s been watching too much PBS would even assume to use such a swiss cheesy word, full of holes and lacking in taste, M-W has successfully extracted any remaining confidence I left bookmarked in their pretentious list of doctrine.

God save the Queen, my friends, God save her pretty little ass.

and i couldn’t even figure out the word due to that atrocious phonetic spelling. i wouldn’t called it:

    si-BRARE-ee-un

although upon more thought, ’sye’ works better, due to new mexican influences, but why the forced ‘brair’ which makes one want to think briar, when brare is so much easier to sound out. take off the b on ‘brair’ and what the ef is that word?

hmm, i hate when people do what i just did. if people didn’t notice my mistake, they’re not going to get it afterwards. if they did notice it, they fixed it themselves in their heads and didn’t need their attention brought back to it. there are more problems i have with it, but i’ll leave those to your imagination. (hint: they’re not worth thinking about)

  • Hint taken my friend and yes, no need to correct yourself. Stand firm in your decision to use whatever words you wanted - whether they be wrong or not!

But yeah, “ai” can be lair or hair or brai, so it doesn’t do much good. Thanks for backing me up in my fight against all things evil and harsh.

I feel like eating some salty, vinegary fries…and beer… hmm.
