Albert Hoffman Dies

written 6 May 2008 while the sun tried, at least, rising

Albert Hoffman, Father of LSDThe man who not only invented LSD but also was the first to try it, call him the Father of Acid, died on May 3rd. NPR did a short but excellent piece on him which touches on what he was trying to do when he accidentally invented tripping, as well as his experiences taking the drug.

Of course, the modern day ClickNathan.com in now way endorses expanding your mind via the enlighteningly horrifying effects of licking paper — after all, I’m weird enough au natural — but anyone who could create something that powerful deserves a nod farewell.

  • This guy is responsible for more than half my tattoos.

What a shame! I think I’ll smoke one in his honor.
