“Don’t Spread the Wealth Around!” Who are these people?

written 20 Oct 2008 in the late evening dusk

I hear clips of McCain rallies, and when the people aren’t shouting absurd idiocies about Arabs or making threats on a Presidential Candidates life, I hear a lot of people cheering when McCain says that he doesn’t want to spread the wealth around.

Who the hell are these people who don’t want the wealth spread around?

Hasn’t it been long enough that the rich get richer while the poor stay dirt poor? Spread that wealth around, people, realize that you are not making enough to keep your money, you will be getting fucked by McCain’s policies, and you’ll only be helped by Obamas.

God America, you can be so sheepishly clueless sometimes.

On Politics: Lies, Damn Lies and Fox News

So I enjoyed, very much, watching Barack Obama give his speech last night. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love as much as the next guy the sweeping, dramatically colorized, superhero stance and big smile pictures of Obama, and if he were passing out Kool Aid, I’d gladly drink it, however — what I was mostly impressed with was the fact that he gave specifics as to what he planned to do while President. That’s something that I’d never heard George Bush, John Kerry or John McCain do. Anyone who can’t tell you exactly what they’re doing is probably either lacking a plan or dishonest. Ambiguity is the main weapon of the liar.

Clinton and (now defunct) Huckabee »
Baraq and McCain »

Presidential Transportation

Enviroblog is one of my favorite RSS feeds for all things green. It has a manageable amount of posts to sift through (unlike those other brands) and a healthy dose of liberal treesucking. In a post today, where they claim that 98% of Americans want to phase out fossil fuels and 4 out of 5 of us want climate action now, they list what vehicles the folks running for their party’s nominations drive. I’ll reproduce the list here for those of you afraid of hyperlinks.
