TLA

An old friend gave me a call on the telephone last night. I was sleeping, so he left a message, and he says to me via that machine:

“You want to know what my books about? It’s about how when you’re a kid you think that your boys will always be your boys and then when you grow up you realize they have lives of their own. When you’re young you think everyone’s just a minor character in your own story, but then you realize that they’re all major characters in their own thing and you’re just one of their outgoing characters.”

That was tight, I liked it alot.

My girlfriend pointed out to me the other day that I’m still friends with the people I knew in high school, even though I’m 25 now and we’ve all moved in and out of a dozen different towns all over America. Good for us.

Jet Screemer plays rock n’ roll.
