Tomorrow Comes Early
I woke up in an oyster shell and swallowed up my pearl
Before I could see the light of day I drew up my own world
With the bartering and bickering that life will make you live
I am proud to say the man I am would be revered by the kid
I wandered through a neighbors yard and picked myself a meal
And my neighbor found the buddha in me biting through the peel
With the division and decision that interaction brings
As babies we can’t hold a tune but every baby sings
I slept under the ocean sky with good karma in my head
Realizing the most precious moments are between right now and never again
With the running races rushing through what we have to give
I will look back on my life and know that it was good to live.
