Sunday Afternoon

I started drinking before afternoon
I’m by myself in Halloween
All the spirits frequent people’s homes
But why shouldn’t I let them frequent me?

I haven’t showered and my teeth ungroomed
I feel at home inside my sweat
Nothing says hope like the moon high in the sky
And it’s almost noon

But if I have the moon and I have the sun
What is China left with?
You take for granted that silvery shine
But when it’s gone, it’s missed

So if I have love and I have love to give
How should I spend my third wish?
I take for granted all the smiles you shine
But when you’re gone, you are missed

I was drunk in the afternoon
Silent guitar in my hands
I could play for hours but I
Never move my hands.

Up Next: Today is a beautiful day
