Imperialism from another W
There’s a law in Japan that says no giant chain store can move in and force smaller mom and pop shops out of business. This is allegedly meant to protect diversity and the small business owner.
Wal*Mart, in its infinite wisdom, is doing its all to bring sheer upheaval to this noble idea.
Let me assure you, my opinion is that all of the Wal-Mart’s and Targets and places that seemingly bring us “quality goods” at low prices by crushing the competition will only inevitably lead to a world lacking diversity. Once Wal-Mart becomes the only supplier of all of our goods, what will be their incentive to sell blue shirts and red shirts, Triscuits and Wheat Thins? It will be more cost effective to buy one type of item in mass bulk and if there is no competition, who will stop them?
Not you, obviously.
