What number are you?

The good people at freelogs.com are all too willing to allow you to use their counters for free. I don’t know how much work or server space or bandwidth they’re actually giving away for free, but their product seems to be worth every penny. For some reason, though, when I copied the code into my blog, I felt it necessary to remove the links they had provided.

Then I read this, which was posted on the FAQ section of their site:

Can I alter the html code provided?
If you alter the code provided your account will be disabled or we may show ads on your site or a big image that tells everyone you have stolen this counter or we will call you names and take away your birthday.

Needless to say, I’ve reinstituted the links attached to their counter. Out of fear or respect, I can’t be certain.
