i keep running out to my mailbox through the snow, in shorts and with my feet, without socks, jammed half into my shoes, just to check and see if i’ve gotten a rather hard, square letter from erie, pa.

so far i’ve been chillingly disappointed.

i was even going to use the expression “hand-delivered.” but in a derogatory fashion. like, “now, i’ll probably just get it hand-delivered.”
