Big Fish, Little Fish, Bouncing Bees

“It’s better to be a small fish in a big pond rather than a big fish in a small pond.”

I believe that’s the saying. Is that true?

Let’s examine…

A big fish in a small pond, well, he’ll only have a small amount of fame or followers, but they’ll probably be devoutly loyal to him…

A small fish in a big pond would be most likely completely unknown but he’d have this huge pond to swim around in and explore.

So the big fish/small pond would be the sort of person who needs a lot of attention but not alot of new things in his life. The small fish/big pond would be a loner sort who is more interested in discovery than praise.

Which is better?
