Humans Designing T-shirts, for Humans
While ordering an iced vanilla latte, skinny please, from my new favorite barista at our local Crazy Mocha, I became involved in a conversation — that’s right, real human interaction using voice boxes and gesticulation and everything — during which she mentioned Design by Humans, a t-shirt company, similar to Threadless, which encourages users to upload designs. Other users then vote on which ones should become t-shirts and if an artist’s design is chosen, he or she is rewarded with $750 (or as much as $1750.) Not too shabby.
