How to Create Columns with WordPress & the Block Editor

It’s fairly easy to create columns with the Block Editor, ie “Gutenberg.”

Type a / to get the block popup where you can choose the type of block you want to add.

Just choose Columns from the list.

Choose the number of columns you’d like:

Then just click on one, and you can add any content you’d like. For example, you might add an image:

Click on it to see a slightly different interface to choose a block type:

From there, choose whatever you’d like and have a blast! Repeat with additional columns, you can even nest columns inside one another should you need to do something really complicated.
