Controlling the Footer of Your Forage Site

If you’ve got a Forage site, nearly every aspect of your site was built to be editable, without bogging down the quickness of page load times.

You can’t move the walls around, but you can paint them, and decide which pictures will hang there.

For example, if you want to edit your site’s footer, you’ve got a few options.

First, hop into the Theme Options section via the link near the bottom of the left side navigation, and click on the Footer tab.

There are three lines that can be customized in the footer, which by default may look something like this:

Back in our Theme Settings, here’s how we control each one.

Footer Copy changes the text that comes just before Web Design by ClickNathan.com. Add some text, and you’ll see it on the front end like so:

You can then control the other two aspects of the footer via the next two checkboxes.

Show social media links in footer? will toggle them on and off. You add these in the first tab–Social & Analytics–of the Theme Options page. The available social networks are Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube and Vimeo.

Show footer navigation? will likewise toggle the Footer nav, which is setup initially via Appearance > Menus in WordPress.
